Account Executive

The Gathery is seeking an Account Executive with event and/or experiential background to join our team.
From concepting to development to execution, this position requires a resourceful candidate who excels in client and project management, administrative, communication and organizational skills, copywriting, and an exceptional attention to detail. In this role, you will be working directly with the Account Directors of our company as they ideate, pitch and sell programs to clients. You will learn how to take client objectives and KPIs and translate them into creative marketing solutions in an award-winning environment. Then, you will help bring our programs to life by working alongside a highly skilled and experienced in-house production team and communicating daily with our clients and their partners.
Additionally, we seek candidates who are culturally savvy in tune with the worlds of art, design, fashion, music and travel.
You must be a strong administrator, work well under pressure, are highly organized, and have great people skills. You should be a self-starter and able to support multiple workstreams by assisting with scheduling of key team members, and drafting summaries and meeting notes.

  • Support – under the direction of Account Directors, the development of Conceptual Decks, Trend Reports, Toolkits and other communication documents that provide creative guidance for new and existing opportunities and initiatives for our clients
  • Participating in effective brainstorms, ideation of concepts, research into client or project landscape, and copywriting
  • Support the founders and art department to generate imagery and mood boards
  • Report up to the Account Directors weekly on progress of assigned projects and initiatives
  • Manage weekly call agendas and recaps for assigned projects and initiatives
  • Manage and schedule internal project meetings and client presentations
  • Issue invoices and manage client payments with Gathery Finance and ensure the timely payment of invoices
  • Updating, copywriting, and, at times, creating all mission critical documents throughout pitches and program productions including: Activation Decks, Toolkits, Timelines, Brand Ambassador Guides, Sponsor Documents, Shot Lists, and other account materials
  • Working with internal team to generate timelines and activation deck updates
  • Assist the production team with the execution of a program to make sure the work is coherent and aligned with planning objectives, elevated design and client expectations
  • Collaborating with teams in the art and production departments
  • Manage brand ambassador and partnership training pre-program and manage onsite
  • Administer select components of a project from ideation to completion
  • Support the creation of recap decks when applicable gathering metrics from all key stakeholder
  • Award submission and website materials selection, copy, etc. on assigned projects only
  • Assist with other projects such as helping develop the company’s blog, social media, and assisting with the agency's external marketing and PR efforts
  • Fluency in all Microsoft and Apple Office platforms, particularly Keynote, Excel, Mail, Calendar, and Word
  • Basic graphic design skills (proficiency in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign) are useful, but not required
  • Our candidate must have 3-5 years of experience in a strategy or creative capacity preferably with previous experience working within the luxury, media, hospitality or non-profit sectors. Editorial background is a big plus!
  • This role is Monday through Friday, 10:30am to 6:30pm, with early mornings and/or late evenings a few days per week as the business requires. You must be willing to work a flexible schedule – the deadline always comes first.
  • $70k to 90k (dependent on experience)
