CFDA Fashion Future Graduate Showcase 2019

For the third consecutive year, The Gathery partnered with the Council of Fashion Designers of America to design and produce FFGS. The CFDA Fashion Future Graduate Showcase was a hybrid physical and digital showcase spotlighting exemplary new talent to the fashion industry. The curated exposition featured the work of 50 students of all specializations including apparel, accessories, jewelry, textiles/materials and relevant emerging fashion pathways ranging from sustainability and creative technical design to innovation from design schools such as Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, FIT and Rhode Island School of Design.

Finding inspiration in New York’s recognizable interconnected grid system and the complex interlocking cut patterns that come together to create extraordinary garments, our sets were developed to seemingly connect – a reference to the tight-knit community of designer, manufacturers, and textile producers in New York – generating an innovative exhibition environment that highlighted the work of each of our participants.
