Held in the historic lobby of 100 Barclay Street, our whimsical cocktail party welcomed designers as they toasted their nominations for the upcoming 2016 CFDA Awards. Working closely with Swarovski, we transformed the shimmering Art Deco setting into a vibrant fashion carnival. Anchoring the room, a larger-than-life pinwheel fashioned out of nine custom crystal pennants designed by each of the 9 Swarovski Award nominees. Tended by an attendant styled in striking Gigi Burris headpieces, the novel set piece served as the backdrop for a lively gif booth. Tarot card readers, dripping in brilliant crystal jewelry and custom turbans, read designer's fortunes in a tableau accented with breathtaking bedazzled Swarovski props. DJ May Kwok took over the turntables while attendees enjoyed unconventional gourmet bites and drinks inspired by carnival staples.
