The Better Sister blurs the line between family drama and psychological thriller, unfolding between New York City and the Hamptons. For the premiere, The Gathery reimagined the show’s settings as a living backdrop – welcoming guests along a scene of the crime -inspired step-
and-repeat before leading them into a world of quintessential Upper East Side refinement at the screener’s after-party. Details like layered lighting, and tonal contrasts echoed the series’ themes of reflection, duality, and deceit beneath the surface.
The Better Sister blurs the line between family drama and psychological thriller, unfolding between New York City and the Hamptons. For the premiere, The Gathery reimagined the show’s settings as a living backdrop – welcoming guests along a scene of the crime -inspired step-and-repeat before leading them into a world of quintessential Upper East Side refinement at the screener’s after-party. Details like layered lighting, and tonal contrasts echoed the series’ themes of reflection, duality, and deceit beneath the surface.
Before the screening began, guests were transported to the scene of the crime. The step-and-repeat transported the show’s Hamptons driveway to MoMA - complete with manicured hedges and pebble stone underfoot - blurring the line between elegance and unease. Subtle design details including branded crime-scene tape replacing rope-and-stanchion, evidence bags with guests’ tickets and maps to the reception tucked inside, and a screening room reflective of the key art’s infamous pool.
Nestled into the center of New York’s highlife - the very world Jessica Biel’s character inhabits - the brand new Four Twenty-Five by Jean-Georges, offered an perfect setting for the reception. Deep-blue light inspired by the show’s infamous pool cascaded across the restaurant’s three-story curtains, casting a moody, intense glow, while red accents emphasized the duality between the sisters.

Amazon Prime Video launched an unmatched summer line-up of binge-worthy reality shows at the Santa Monica Proper. On summer solstice, a select group of influential guests and media were invited to the Prime Video Summer Solstice Party to experience the shows and their stars first-hand.
The Gathery transformed the hotel with activities hosted by the shows’ talent — from a Hamptons-inspired clam bake-off to a Shibori and Ikebana workshop. To top-off the day of activities, a roof top performance by Betty Who helped guests ring-in the warm season.

For Modern Love Season 2 premiere, Amazon Prime Video and Fire TV joined forces to celebrate the show’s debut aboard the Grand Banks. Inspired by the city that never sleeps and the New York Times lauded column, attendees reveled under the stars with the city skyline as their backdrop.
Jazz band Baby Soda serenaded guests down Pier 25. In our Captain’s Quarters, Amazon’s Alexa surprised guests as it was triggered by a voice control. At sundown, a sailboat floated by, as a sneak peek of the new season was projected onto its sails for an unforgettable end to the evening.
